One of my favorite restaurants in Bloomington. Wide variety of flavors and dishes to please about any palate. Spaghetti agliata and a spinach salad are my go-to. Go early and you'll avoid the wait but even if you do have to wait, it's worth it.

Honestly, this place was never even on my radar. I wanted Greek food, so we went next door. For reasons I will not go into, we left and walked into Uptown Cafe, and I am SO glad that we did! Our Server, Dena, was attentive and informative. We began with a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which happened to be half price this evening. The Specials were amazing. My Husband ordered the Surf and Turf. 6 oz center cut filet, crab cake (true crab cake without the fillers, OUTSTANDING), 3 Jumbo Shrimp and a side for $30. I ordered the 8oz Gorgonzola Filet with demi glace, with a side of Jalapeno Shrimp and Grits. I can't even begin to put into words how delicious it was! Our son ordered a Kid's cheeseburger (choice of cheddar, swiss, or gorgonzola...what?!?) and fries. It was quite a bit of food, even for the large appetite of our 9 year old! Highly recommend trying it out. Please remember, you get what you pay for, but I would have been disappointed to have spent our money anywhere else.

Michael's is a brilliant spot for breakfast, an afternoon local beer, or a cocktail in the evening. They have classic menu items for breakfast such s bacon, eggs, and toast-but with Michael's amazing potatoes. Portions are very filling and enough for two. They have a surprising mix of cuisine where you can find creole dishes in the evening, or fantastic sandwiches and salads for lunch. You can't find a better local spot than this in Bloomington.

Very nice atmosphere!!! Our food was presented very nicely. They have a wide variety. A bit on the high priced end.

Good food. A little pricey for portion size but decent flavors. Brunch is breakfast so don't be fooled. No lunch on weekends until after 2. That was the biggest complaint overall.

There is no better place for breakfast in town. The combination of bar and restaurant makes it as much like an English pub as I have found in the midwest. Thus it is quite good for lunch and dinner as well. The food is quite well seasoned and fresh.

Uptown is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. And do not overlook the bar. Well known for their breakfast fare, their dinner menu is equally deserving of praise.

We love Uptown. We were here for breakfast on our wedding day and they were wonderful -- celebratory but low-key. They gave us a free piece of chocolate cake, which was delicious! The French toast was phenomenal too.

Delicious food and great service! A little bit of a more upscale restaurant, so the prices were a little steep, but all the food we had was satisfying and filling. It was busy when we went, but our food still came out in a timely manner. This was a great spot for a nicer brunch outing! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food and service. I think brunch is even more delicious than dinner. Picture of brunch is shown below

Food is consistently good and fresh. Service reliably friendly efficient and professional. Saturday brunch popular for both these reasons.

Very nice date experience. Carefully crafted dishes, I was able to find something light yet delicious. My husband had a very good steak.

Although small, it has one of the best bars & cocktails in town. Bartender was knowledgeable & no issues when I ordered a cocktail off the menu. Pricey, but remember your are not only paying for booze, but the artistry of the drink recipes & labor of the bartenders.

Good but my egg sandwich came out with a raw egg.
